I am a California Licensed Architect and General Contractor interested in providing you with design, build and inspection services, dedicated to improving our environment and the quality of architecture.
Due to my unique qualifications and experience in direct management of public and private projects in complex building environments, from programming through to maintenance of completed construction, I have developed highly effective design and communication skills focused on rapid conceptualization, environmental sensitivity, comprehensive cost identification and value-driven project delivery.
I have direct experience in coordinating with agency administrators, local representatives, citizen groups, and other regional and national agencies while working on construction projects.
I have thorough knowledge and practical experience in documenting and ensuring compliance with federal, state and municipal building regulations, including the latest adopted editions of the California Building Code (CBC) and ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities (ADAAG).
In addition, I have experience preparing structural calculations and drawings for residential and commercial buildings in compliance with ASCE Standards (ASCE/SEI 7-05).
I have developed and refined my skills in key applications and web development languages required to market and deliver high quality design and construction documents.
I have been using AutoCAD to produce drawings since 1987 and Revit since 2006.
I am a current, licensed expert user of AutoCAD ADT 2011, Revit 2011, 3D Studio Max, Adobe CS5, Enercalc SEL V6 and EnergyPro 5.
I also have web development experience in deploying dynamic websites using HTML, CSS, MySQL, PHP, and Javascript.
I have conditioned myself to maintain a high level of focus and endurance on multi-year projects that are measured by key tasks being accomplished successfully.
I understand issues that can both negatively and positively impact project budgets and schedules during design and construction phase, and I understand the critical aspects of client relationships and managing expectations proactively.
I work with clients, design team members, government agencies, project managers, facility managers, inspectors, contractors, and others as required to bring building projects to a successful completion.
